On Animas&#8217;s stall in the exhibition area sat an Animas toy kangaroo wearing a badge which said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center; font-size: 1.2em; font-weight:strong\">\nAnimas Vibe &#038; CGM system<br \/>\nNOW APPROVED<br \/>\nfor children aged 2<br \/>\nyears &#038; older\n<\/p>\n<p>One of my Twitter friends let me know the exciting and now official news:<\/p>\n<div style=\"width:500px; margin: 0 auto;\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-partner=\"tweetdeck\">\n<p>Animas CGM approved for 2+ year olds. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OceanTragic\">@OceanTragic<\/a> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%23dpc14&amp;src=hash\">#dpc14<\/a> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%23ourD&amp;src=hash\">#ourD<\/a> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%23doc&amp;src=hash\">#doc<\/a> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/6OBqte1EnC\">pic.twitter.com\/6OBqte1EnC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ninjabetic (@ninjabetic1) <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ninjabetic1\/statuses\/441168059286687744\">March 5, 2014<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<h3>Making the call to Animas<\/h3>\n<p>At lunch time I contacted Animas (0800 055 6606) to try and register for, or buy if possible, the newly approved CGM.<br \/>\n&#8220;Hello, I&#8217;d like to buy CGM for my daughter who uses an Animas Vibe, now that you&#8217;re officially licensed to sell them.&#8221; The lady on the other end of the phone was surprised I knew about it but was happy to talk with me.<br \/>\nI was informed the launch date is sometime in April, not April 1st, or the end of April, just at sometime.<br \/>\nI gave my details to be kept on file for them to inform me when they had any news.<\/p>\n<h3>And the price?<\/h3>\n<p>Animas has had a starter kit deal for some time, certainly from June last year. For \u00a3450 that deal gets you a transmitter and a box of 4 sensors.<br \/>\nSo I asked if that deal would be still on come April; the conversation went something like this:<br \/>\nMe: &#8220;And will the \u00a3450 starter deal still be on?&#8221;<br \/>\nAnimas: &#8220;I&#8217;m not sure, currently that deal ends on March 31st&#8221;.<br \/>\nMe: &#8220;Oh great.
